Fuse Alliance Network Member SCS Flooring Systems Acquires Wallachs Floor Covering
Fuse Alliance network member SCS Flooring Systems recently announced the acquisition of Wallachs Floor Covering. SCS Flooring Systems, based in Irvine, California, is a full service commercial service provider serving the Western United States. With over 30 years experience in the commercial flooring industry, Wallachs Floor Covering is based in Orange County, California and brings exceptional long-term client relationships, consistent sales performance and an impressive track record of profitability.
“Expanding our business to include Wallachs Floor Covering was a big decision for our leadership team and we are very excited,” said Ken Chmura, president of SCS Flooring Systems. “Wallachs’ go-to-market strategy and business philosophy was in total alignment with our business footprint and growth strategy.”
SCS Flooring Systems’ acquisition of Wallachs allows the company to continue its aggressive strategic direction, increased growth across all segments and additional profit opportunities for company associates. In addition, Wallachs’ extensive knowledge and expertise in the tenant improvement arena will allow for expanded outreach and presence in this segment, which continues to show steady growth. The acquisition also allows for continued expansion into the ceramic and stone product category, a major part of Wallachs’ product and service offering. In order to continue effectively serving the company’s local, regional and national account customers, sales and administrative functions from both companies have been consolidated into one location under the SCS Flooring Systems name.

New Corporate Headquarters
As of February, SCS Flooring Systems and Wallachs Floor Covering relocated all company functions to a new corporate headquarters in Irvine, California. The company’s new corporate headquarters is home to all company functions including administrative responsibilities such as accounting, estimating, project coordination and management. The new facility was designed by Gensler’s Newport Beach office.
